The National Trend to
Eliminate Greek Life
How To Destroy Fraternities and Sororities #101
"Courses Of Study" was circulated at
colleges and universities throughout the northeastern United States in
1992.
DOES THE ABOVE RING A BELL AT COLGATE?
Those interested in the elimination of fraternities and sororities
from the college scene in America should enroll in this course and learn
how to, over a twelve year period, destroy Greek letter societies on your
campus. The following is an outline of procedures taught and is sure to
find success.
- Have schools hire inexperienced, incompetent, disinterested supervisory
personnel
- Enact rules and regulations which cannot be followed
- Enact conflicting rules and regulations to confuse rules and regulations
- Show no leadership from supervisory personnel
- Delay discipline
- Institute a catch and punish philosophy — give students enough
rope to hang
themselves
- Use punishment instead of discipline
- Use selective punishment to eliminate individual fraternities and
sororities.
- Do not allow punishment to fit the crime
- Blame the group for individual behavior
- Force economic strangulation at every opportunity
- Close houses instead of instituting educational discipline
- Have radical faculty members speak out against fraternities and sororities
in public and in faculty meetings to the point where students are afraid
to wear Greek letter insignia to class
- Have radical faculty members and department chairs advise new faculty
members that if they spend time or help fraternities in any way they
will have no chance of tenure
- Have the college lend enough money to fraternities and sororities
in order to bankrupt them and steal their property
- Accuse fraternities and sororities (fall the popular buzzword offenses
particularly if they are not guilty so as to destroy their image to
all members of the college community
- Force heavy expenditures by requiring unnecessary and very expensive
building code renovations
- After renovations have been completed come up with additional code
requirements forcing new expenditures
- Invade the constitutional rights of members at every opportunity
- Enact open membership requirements to force members on fraternities
and sororities
- Load every expense possible on fraternities and sororities
- Delay rush as long as possible preferably to late during the sophomore
year
- Allow no pledge period whatsoever
- Allow no distinction between seniors, juniors and sophomores within
a fraternity or sorority
- Do not allow sophomores to live in the fraternity or sorority houses.
If the above outline is followed you can be assured that one Greek letter
organization at a time will bite the dust and the eventually if no one
joins, there will be no system in about twelve years, You must have
a plan, know how, when and where to exert pressure and be patient.
