Colgate says they need "more unambiguous control" over the students actions when they are not in class. Given these statistics, the problems are clearly not at the Greek-owned houses. So what's Colgate's real agenda?

The Task Force on Campus Culture recommends: "...that the University maintain consistent oversight and standards of governance of all residential units, including Greek-letter houses. Most members of the Task Force recommend that Colgate acquire all Greek-letter residential units as soon as feasible to facilitate their efficient operation and ensure standards of safety, amenities and appearance."

Given these documented statistics of Colgate's ability to "ensure standards of safety" in property they control, why can we trust that students living in fraternities and sororities will be safer now under Colgate's supervision?
