Summary: Bree is a pre-operative male-to-female transsexual
who gets a very unexpected call from a young man in jail who claims to
be her son. Bree picks him up from jail and does not explain who she is,
instead letting him think she is just someone sent to transport him. When
he tries to escape she convinces him to stay with her until Los Angeles.
The journey across America is eye opening for both of them.

• Keynote Address by Esera Tuaolo
BGW is proud and excited to have Esera Tuaolo as this year’s keynote
speaker at 4 p.m. at the Chapel. Tuaolo is the third former NFL player
to announce his homosexuality.
A former Atlanta Falcon, Tuaolo will address issues of sexuality and
athletics, and his experiences in what is an often times hostile and intolerant
work environment.
He is the author of Alone in the Trenches: My Life as a Gay Man in the
NFL, and is the father of two children. See more information on our keynote
speaker here.
• Workshops
BGW hosts a variety of workshops to highlight various issues
within the LGBTQ community. Come to hear two Colgate alums speak out in
the Spirituality Workshop; learn the importance of resume building and
interviewing from Career Services; or listen to Scott Turner discuss the
nuances of gender in the Transgender Workshop.
These are just a few of the workshop options open to those in attendance,

drawn wide praise from community groups and academic departments for their
highest-common denominator accessibility.
